Although it’s warming up as we approach summer, we’re still getting a few chilly days here and there and a blazer is a great way to add a layer without the heaviness of a jacket or coat. I’ve pulled together three ways with a camel blazer for spring. Also, if you’ve ever worked in an office during the summer, a blazer or cardigan is a necessity (why do offices always pump up the A/C so much in the summer?!?!). I bought all these items some time ago, so I’ve linked to similar items if what I bought is no longer available. Special thanks to my sweet and talented sister, Stacy Dean, for taking these pics (I am NOT a very helpful or cooperative model!).
I just love how blazers instantly make an outfit more chic. I’ve actually had a bit of an obsession since high school (when they were NOT in!). At the time, I was obsessed with finding a blazer with leather elbow patches. I ended up finding a blazer with “leather-like” felt elbow patches from J.Crew (ironically, it was also camel-colored!). I LOVED that thing…maybe that’s why I was mistaken for the teacher on numerous occasions in high school :-). But enough jabber, let’s talk about the looks:
1. Camel blazer with black skinny jeans, a white tee, and loafers
My blazer is from Boden and I got it on sale. They make really high quality stuff and the linings are so fun (you can see the lining below). I’ve linked to a J. Crew one (which is ironic since my “original” was from there) since Boden doesn’t have a camel one right now, but it looks pretty close. The jeans are my exact ones from Madewell and they are so comfy! My tee is OLD, but I’ve linked to this similar one. I also LOVE a loafer (is it any wonder I was often mistaken for a teacher??!), and my Ecco ones are no longer available, but I’ve linked these Born ones which come in tons of cute colors.
2. Camel blazer with white skinny jeans, a white button down, and white loafers
In this second look, I went with an all white look combined with the camel blazer. I really love this white button down-it isn’t stiff and has an excellent drape and these white skinny jeans are my favorite and aren’t sheer. I keep them white by soaking in this when they start look dingy.
3. Camel blazer with lace skirt, white tank, and nude pumps
In this third look, I paired a pencil skirt (mine is the ‘Evita Pencil Skirt’ by Lysse that I got from Stitch Fix-here’s a link if you’d like to try it out), with a simple white tank, but the camel blazer elevates it. After work, you could swap in some sandals and a denim jacket and you’d have a whole new look.
In other news, my cabinets came today! Yay!! The kitchen remodel starts in two weeks!! Can’t wait to share! (Can you tell I’m excited by my excessive of exclamation marks!!!!)
Hope you found ‘three ways with a camel blazer for spring’ helpful. Thanks for stopping by!
