I have a confession to make. Before I moved to the mountains I got rid of almost ALL of my sweaters. I know, this is fashion sacrilege, but in the Bay Area, it never gets that cold, and whenever I am inside, I often get too hot and I have preferred a cardigan that I can take off. Now that I’m in the mountains, I have been in desperate need of sweaters for cold weather activities and just to wear around the house. I got a L.L. Bean catalog in the mail recently and I loved their cozy pullover sweaters for fall so I ordered a few and was very pleased with the result. This isn’t sponsored, I just really wanted to try these out. Check out my favorite cozy pullover sweater picks below.

Rust-colored pullover sweater
I’ve been dying for a Patagonia fleece pullover since last winter. I love the look and I heard that they were really well made, but the price tag HURTS! When I saw this almost identical version from LLBean, I had to try it! I actually prefer it to the Patagonia ones I have tried and it is less expensive-this NEVER happens to me!(I ordered two different ones this summer during various sales and returned both because I was a bit underwhelmed). Since the weather has turned cooler already, this has been on repeat. The quality is awesome and I love the colors. Some colors are on sale right now.
A keeper for sure! Order up a size for a looser fit.
Gray fleece pullover sweater
This is also similar the the Patagonia classic, but I didn’t like the fit as much as the one above. This is super cozy though and I love the fleece and zip up pockets, I just preferred the one above and can’t keep both. This is also available in this zip-up version.
This went back, but only because I LOVED the rust one above. This runs true to size.
Red plaid fleece zip up
Ok, this isn’t a pullover, but I couldn’t resist this one. Yes, maybe I look a little lumberjack, or like Al from Home Improvement, but I am A-OK with that. I’m actually wearing this as I write this post, so I guess you know what my verdict is for this one 🙂 . It has a cozy faux fur-like lining and flannel-lined sleeves. ALL THE COZY!
A keeper for sure! This runs true to size!
Quilted olive pullover sweatshirt
This is more of a sweatshirt material and is lighter weight than the other sweaters above. The band around the bottom was a little loose so I would probably size down in this. I actually saw someone in town wearing this and I love the look, but I couldn’t keep it all…wah wah wah.
I had to send this back, but I’d definitely recommend it, but I’d suggest sizing down.
Other L.L. Bean Picks
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you can end the week wrapped in a cozy pullover sweater for fall…I know I will be!!
